Origin of Vastu Shastra –

Vastu Shastra is an ancient Indian science of architecture and spatial harmony. Its origins trace back over 5,000 years, mentioned in sacred texts like the Vedas (especially Atharva Veda). It was developed by ancient sages and architects like Vishwakarma and Mayamata who believed that the balance of the Pancha Mahabhutas (Five Elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space) and directions influences human well-being.

Originally used to design temples and palaces, Vastu evolved to guide the construction of homes, towns, and even public buildings to align with cosmic energies for peace, prosperity, and health.


🌼 1. Keep the Entrance Clutter-Free

  • The main entrance is the gateway of energy. Keep it clean, well-lit, and decorated with symbols like Swastik or Om.

  • Avoid placing dustbins, shoes, or broken things near the door.
